About Our Research

Toddler runs in grass next to tree

There are many questions about Lyme disease during pregnancy that have not yet been answered.

We hope our research can help improve the lives of people who were bitten by a tick while pregnant, as well as people whose chronic symptoms related to Lyme disease continue to impact them during pregnancy and parenting.

Our Approach

Our study team works closely with Lyme disease-focused nonprofits and other organizations to make sure our work reflects the priorities of patients with Lyme disease and their loved ones. We also incorporate feedback directly from our participants.

It’s very important to us that anyone who is eligible and interested in joining our studies can participate. All participants will receive payment for each study visit. We also have limited funds to reimburse participants for travel to in-person study visits in Washington, DC. All of our studies are available remotely for participants who cannot travel.

We work hard to make each study an enjoyable experience for participants and their families. If your child needs more support as they grow, we will work with you to get your child the help they need.
